Perhaps you have broken up with your boyfriend or girlfriend but you still hope to win your ex back. What is important for you to take note is that what you did not do can be more important that what you do.
The reason is very simple. Doing certain things or taking certain actions can make your situation worse. Maybe you are doing some of the right things, but if you are also doing the wrong things at the same time, you are back to square one.
Therefore, it is very important to be aware of what are the things that should not be done. Knowledge is power and if you know what those common mistakes are, you are more likely to avoid those mistakes.
First and foremost, one type of behavior that is going to push your ex away faster than the speed of light is desperation. Therefore, you should never do anything that makes your ex perceive you as being desperate even if you really feel that way.
Let's illustrate with one example.
Say Jenny has just broken up with her boyfriend Harry. She really feels desperate to get Harry back. So what she did was to call Harry. But Harry did not pick up the phone. This only make Jenny feel more panicky.
She started calling Harry again and again, hoping that Harry pick up the phone. Of course, Jenny wish did not come true.
The above example shows one of the most common mistakes. Calling your ex over and over again will let your ex know that you are feeling desperate. If your ex is aware that you are acting out of desperation, it is very unlikely that he/she will pick up the phone.
In fact, there are many other common mistakes that are being made that includes arguing over the break up, talking to your ex family members or friends, trying to meet your ex "accidentally" etc.
If you noticed, these actions are more or less spurred by desperation. By avoid all these mistakes altogether, your will avoid reducing your chances of getting your ex back, which means your probability of getting your ex back has increased.
